  • Yes. A fire truck is allowed to park in a Fire Lane or Zone without the fire going on. The reason is this. That area is designated for the Fire Apparatis as long as it is there weather there is a fire or not. It is kinda like looking at a handicap parking spot. The Fire Truck owns the Fire Lane. They may be checking on a safety issue inside the business or something to that effect. If the Truck is there, then they are operating in that capacity.
