There is a big difference between buying wisely and buying foolish, just as there is between saving wisely or being a greedy miser. Seeing how much useless crap you can buy is the first step to always being near broke, and the second step to being a silly hoarder. It also enables homelessness. Most 'lifers' I used to know became homeless as a direct consequence of not bothering to set aside a proper emergency fund, because they were too busy buying crap. "Why would you make it if you weren't going to spend it?" The answer is 'why would you spend it all as soon as possible, when a $5000 emergency may arise tomorrow?'
  • I do! but i also get more bills paid as well!
  • The more we make the faster the bills get paid.
  • LOL ...sometimes and somedays :-) !
  • I think in a sense most people, lower, middle, and upper income brackets, tend to spend beyond their means. I had a job that would allow me to make almost double my regular hourly rate with my overtime. It almost got me in big financial debt because I was including the O.T. in with my regular budget for the month. It wasn't until the O.T. was discontinued that I started rethinking my spending habits.
  • Just from watching others, I think its most likely.
  • yes for most. I'm frugal so for me no
  • Absolutely. There are purses for sale at $1500 and people buy them. That's proof right there. If you have $1500 to buy a purse, then you must have more to put in it.
