So, the earbuds that came with my ipod broke. Should I get the same ones that apple sells for $30 or should I get a different pair? Suggestions?

you should get the ones from costco! I love it there! and they work better than the ipod ones:)

Get a shitty $2 pair. Then get a good pair for ummmm somewhere between $2.01 and $50. Just browse some forums and get a good brand....if it happens to be the apple ones, then good...but you can prolly do better for less...and can certainly do worse for less.

Truthfully if you want to retain your hearing, ditch the buds and go with almost anything else. Music teachers in school tell their students the same thing. And I can tell you for a fact that any repeated exposure to headphones of any type will screw your hearing up permantly. I'm living proof. I'm only in my 40's and I have a problem both with real bassy sounds and high trebles. If you have to go with headphones try the ones that wrap around your ear. It's definitely not the same sound but it's a whole lot better for your ears. Seriously just trying to help.
