  • I think that many of the countries that are located around the equator have 'hot' cuisine. I would say that certain regions of India have really hot spicy foods. Eating spicy foods will make the eater sweat which will cause the person to ultimately feel cool because the sweat on the skin will evaporate leaving the skin feeling cooler. So nations with hot climates have 'hot' or spicy foods
  • I remember reading about an American in Mexico who disregarded warnings about a really hot pepper because he ate really spicy food. His throat almost swelled shut! Apparently this is something you have to adapt to very gradually.
  • I've tried Indian, Mexican and Thai food and would say that they are all spicy, but Indian is spicier than the rest, although they do have some very mild dishes as well, such as Korma. The hottest thing I ever had was an Indian curry called a Vindaloo, but there is one even hotter than that which I may try when I lose the will to live, called Phal.
  • I have tried Indian food and yes it is hot but my husband is from Sri Lanka and the food his family cooks seems to be even hotter and has much more flavor. Yes it is still curry but it is based on a roasted red curry intead of the Indian yellow curries. I guess most people don't get exposed to this cuisine since it is such a tiny country.
  • THE WORLDS SPICIEST FOOD IS FROM SRILANKA EVEN INDIANS FIND IT DIFFICULT TO EAT OUR FOOD :-)

  • Indian food. And I love it that way!
  • In India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka there is a chili pepper that has over 1 million Scoville units of heat. Its nearest rival is the habanero from California with about 3 hundred thousand. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naga_jolokia I hope that this web site will help settle this question about the spiciest cuisine.
  • Prob Indian or Mexican...they are two different types of spicy, but both get the job done
