Sheep and young cattle. They're always carrying them away to feast, and their caves are littered with their remains. And knights in shining armour. Crunchy on the outside, and soft in the middle.

We called my old neighbor Ogre, he liked steak and chicken ALOT!!!

They eat raw meat from giant animals and/or elven or hobbit flesh. they will occasionally eat the bark of ancient redwood trees. their favourite is meat from something that they killed that is larger than themselves. if they are terribly hungry, they will violently eat their own kind. if at last resort... they will barbaricly eat any green (or brown) grass in sight.

Probably, just about anything, but I suspect that humans may be particularly appetizing to them. Too bad they would not develop a taste for trolls.
