  • I think morality is a subjective thing and individual to everyone. For me, I see nothing wrong with thoughts only deeds. Thoughts are private, they are between you and yourself.
  • I'd say it's immoral IF you're thinking of doing it but opt not to only because of the consequences (instead of because it's wrong for reasons X, Y, Z). If you're just entertaining the thought, that's different.
  • You must decide yourself if something is immoral for you. As for thinking of stealing, the best security officers, IMHO, are those who can "think like a criminal", and notice all the things that shouldn't be open/unlocked, and that could be easily removed from the premises by a back (ungaurded) door. Is it immoral to do this? I, personally, don't think so. Now, if as a security guard I notice those things and exploited them for my own gain, yes... I would consider that immoral. To me, thinking about something is just that... THINKING about it. If you're a writer, you can be as moral as they come, but there will be times you have to think those thoughts to make the story work. Now... if you PERFORM THE ACT, then yes... That's immoral to many.
