I replaced a power steering pump in a 97 chevy cavalier and the lines are leaking how do I fix that

three things could be the cause that i can think of. 1- the fitting is cross threaded and you're in trouble if that's the case. 2- the crush sleeve on the fitting has been over torqued, more bad news. 3- hopefully you can just get away with using some teflon tape like plumbers use. i've done that before and it seemed to hold up fine. though i'm not sure that the higher pressures that the pumps put out now days will allow that fix to work or not. good luck ;)

Did you use a new power steering pump? If you got a used one at the boneyard you may need to buy new lines for it at a place like http://www.gmpartsclub.com I use this gmpartsclub for new chevy parts.
