Why do so many people deny that emotional attachment can lead to physical cheating?

Hey AG, that is one sexy pose of you. If I was male, I am sure I would be all hot and bothered. People are in denial that they can lose control emotionally and get involved with someone physically. It's like a domino effect that they don't believe will exist in their case.

Beacuse if you're emotionally attached to someone, you don't want to hurt their feelings, so why would you cheat? It doesn't make sense.

Because they're stupid... ...lol, actually I think it's because some people believe that they are stronger than that. They feel that they are in control of their emotions and even if they do have an emotional attachment they think that they are strong enough to fight it. Usually they aren't.

Because even though you're not in control of your emotions, you are in control of your actions. You can go ahead and be emotionally attached, but that doesn't mean it has to lead to anything more, if you don't let it. It's just in the means of saying "No"

Because (I think) they hesitate to say that is ALWAYS the case. Many people can't differentiate in their minds between situations. That is to say that people like blanket statements. For many, to say that the above statement is true would be the same as saying it is always true, which is clearly not the case. But the flip side of that token dictates that they must embrace the other extreme, that it never happens. Illogical, but I think that is why people deny it.
