Probably not, without the assitance of amplification. meaning, a singer tapes their highest note(frequency). their highest note is replayed and amplified several hundred times, in front of a piece of glass. The glass can be shattered. use headphones for ear safety.

Yes, it is possible. Most of the time when attempting to accomplish the feat, the glass is made of crystal because it vibrates better than most of the softer glasses you are familiar with (such as window panes and normal drinking glasses). Just thought I'd put that little bit of info in there, just in case. The singer needs to be able to equally match the frequency at which the glass itself vibrates in order to do so. They also have to project their voice very loudly-- according to the website I'm going to link-- about 135 decibels. It must be in the right pitch and hold it for a bit as well, because if not, the glass will only "reflect the energy" and it won't do anything. It would be very hard for a normal, untrained singer to do this sort of thing, though... Here is the site I looked up-http://www.earthsky.org/faqs/?f=93 And... if you'd like to try... here is a site on how to do so... lol. http://www.thevoiceconnection.com/lesson205.html
