  • I have the perfect answer, its right here: http://www.soya.be/soy-milk.php guess how I got it!
  • Wikipedia gives the answer: Soy milk (also called soya milk or soybean milk) and sometimes referred to as soy drink/beverage is a beverage made from soy beans. A stable emulsion of oil, water and protein, it is produced by soaking dry soybeans, and grinding them with water. Soy milk contains about the same proportion of protein as cow's milk~ around 3.5%; also 2% fat, 2.9% carbohydrate and 0.5% ash. Soy milk can be made at home with traditional kitchen tools or with a soy milk machine. =========== It is really a juice rather than a milk, but, because it is white, it gets called milk. In some countries, it has to be called soy drink because it is not milk.
  • I think there is a 16 minute video on Youtube that has how it is made. Just look up soymilk and it should come up.
  • It's really not processed right to make it as safe as it should be. All good soy is from a fermented beans. But nowadays, soy milk is just the beans, some oil and water used to steam and press out this milky looking liquid. It is better to make it at home. It's simple and you don't need a fancy soy milk maker. http://soy.bryandeno.com/ Or this place has some great info, too: http://www.ellenskitchen.com/faqs/tofumilk.html
