  • I agree 100%. It seems so ridiculous for the churches to argue over doctrine, when they all believe in Christ, in Heaven and in Hell and each of their agenda's is to get their members to heaven. Several years ago when I was taking classes to join a particular church, I was told by the team holding the classes, "We're not saying that this is the only way to Christ. We want you to be comfortable. If you find Christ here, that's excellent. If you feel more comfortable worshipping somewhere else, that's OK, too. We just want you to find Christ." I wish other churches were more receptive to that philosophy.
  • ***wouldn't fit in comment box*** Kdmichaels,Me too. I grew up in church and feel back for awhile, we had a lot of problems in our church. I recently started taking my family somewhere new and we love it. We practice that even if you do no agree with someones "lifestyle" you should still support them. I always felt guilty about certain things I believed in and I thought I was "sinning" too, but then I went to this church and they let me know that it was ok to have the feelings I had about certain ideas. I may not agree with things some ppl do, but that is not my place to judge, some "christians" just don't get that part. I wonder though if they really think that is what Christ wants? I don't think you have to be made out of a mold to be saved, I think he he loves everyone for who they are and ppl screw up it's called life. Thank you for your honest answer! No one else had hade the courage to answer, I guess they feel they would maybe be DRed. Have a wonderful day!;)
  • It's the fear that if you are right I would have to be wrong that does it. Proving that you are wrong so that I can keep on believing I am right is how I defend myself. - They should (my opinion) agree that all are seeking the same goal, and that even those who have wandered off in to the bushes are still fellow seekers. But often the fear is just too strong.
  • Should perhaps. But error is hard to watch and not correct. (Ever see someone's pronunciation or grammar corrected in public!) And each denomination sees the different beliefs of all the others as errors. The rest is human nature.
