Possibly phony or 'fair weather friends.' Just my own experience, but I've never had a fight with a true friend even those who have been my friends for many years. Sure, an occasional debate but we see nothing worth jeopardizing a friendship over so we respect each others views and sometimes just agree to disagree.

If you almost always have fights in any relationship it doesn't seem like a good "fit" to me. I think true friendship, true love, true anything is easy..you shouldn't have to struggle, battle, "work hard at it"..that is just my take on things. I do believe there are people who thrive on conflict..it makes them feel more "alive", I guess..so if both are consenting adults and they find comfort in living in a battle zone, I guess it's their choice. I personally don't have fights with family or friends. Difference of opinion..yes. Fights...why on earth would you hang around with someone like that? :)

First thing Im not going to fight with nobody all the time except my kids, no I would not consider them my friends if all they want to do is fight

It doesn't sound like there the greatest of friends if you can't get along most of the time.

Real fights (punches, bruises, bloody noses/lips, etc.)? Probably not Arguments? Could be... A LOT of friends like to have "friendly" debates.
