  • Line up another piece of paper (preferably a different colour) on top of the sheet you want to write on. Keep it level with the top of the page below and keep dragging it down as you complete a line.
  • Get some heavily lined paper and place your plain on top. Hopefully the lines will show through and you can follow them. That is, if your plain paper is thin enough.
  • To write very straight take a thin ruler or an index card or some paper that won't buckle and fold and hold it across the paper you are going to write on. The ruler or the index card will stop the writing perfectly straight. You will have to go back and add your loops to g's etc. but it makes for a very neat invitation envelope.
