  • If you enable WPA2 encryption, you're very secure. WEP and WPA can be cracked in a matter of minutes, though.
  • Use Airport Extreme for the Macintosh. No one's gonna hack into your signal. You're not important enough to take that much time out of anyone's day. Who do you think you are? The Bank of America?
  • Don't worry about security. No one's wants to take the time of day to get within reach of your signal and hack into your broadband wireless. You're not the Bank of America.
  • As long as you set it up as a secure network and have a good firewall, you should be fine. Nobody is going to bother to take the time to drive around trying to find a signal and then attempt to hack your system, it's not worth the effort. (Unless you have classified government documents?)
