As someone earleir mentioned, one's legal status should have no bearing in lending a helping hand. Your efforts will improve your life, your friends, and the company's --- a win win situation for all. As you go on, you might also look into your communities outreach program for an ESL program of some sort that your co-workers might attend. they are free, they dont ask questions, and as time goes omn, they will build a better network of friends.   • It's a personal choice to help someone. Hopefully their legal standing doesn't stop you from caring for them like a friend. Perhaps you can help them learn English and then help them on their way to becoming a legal US Citizen.
  • Of course you should. You're not responsible for the law but you do have a duty of care to those around you. What if it was Austria in the 1940s? "Hello, Police! I heard a little girl in the attic!"
