  • and also when websites hose up and post things twice.
  • bad taste, in general.
  • What bothers me most is the fact that genius has it's limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped, and appears to be spreading in epidemic proportions.
  • That somewhere along the way society gave up common sense :)
  • I suppose it would be the fault in my opinion that mass communication in the media is not exactly for the best, there are lots of reasons, that I won't get into, but I trace so much of society's wrongs to that vast information network.
  • The fact that we are capable of such great things, yet act so stupidly in so many ways.
  • everyones head is up their ass
  • The fact that all the christian values which made this country great are being thrown out the window. This is a big aspect of why america has so many problems right now, whether you face it or not it is.
  • Apathy. I honestly think people buy gas-guzzling cars or thousands of plastic bottles of water because they genuinely never, ever get around to thinking about what doing so will mean. People are nice. They don't set out to buy factory farmed food or wreck the planet with an SUV but not thinking about these things is exactly how they happen. I honestly believe we all need to think about the choices we make. As consumers we have so much more power than we realize. We can force the USA to produce cars that get 40 miles to a gallon like they have in Europe. We can demand better public transportation. We can decide to eat healthier, locally grown food and stop buying things sold in plastic, recyclable or not. We are wasteful fools living like the Romans and we need to pay attention. We can stick solar panels on half of Las Vegas if we really wanted to. So why not? Voltaire said that every man is guilty of the good he did not do and I think there's a lot of wisdom in that.
  • The people.
  • The inability of most people to listen to an argument dispassionately, to offer serious rebuttal, and to continue to listen with an open mind. The fact that we disagree with each other doesn't make anybody more right or wrong than anybody else. Too many times we run into "experts" or "authorities" or people quick to pass judgment on your ideas, thoughts and actions. What I would like to see is more tolerance and acceptance, without judgment.

  • The empathy, it's like a desease in this country. Oh well, we're at war, can't help that..Oh we can't decide on a democrate to run for office, oh wait, we really don't elect them, some paid off big wig does it for us, doen't matter who we want...People are hungry, no health insurance,so what, it's not me..Losing jobs, what can we do..We're paying gas prices that used to buy a weeks worth of food, no one does anything, but what can you do? Right Mr. Bush?
  • American Idol.

  • The greed, the lack of empathy, the total self-centeredness, the inability to accept responsibility for one's own actions or lack thereof, the injustice, and finally, the declining morals and lack of connectedness with nature and others -- these are the things about society that disturb and sadden me. I won't allow it to infuriate me any more though.
  • The constant need to be beautiful physically. We should concentrate on real issues and not focus so much on beauty products, clothes etc. you can't take them with you when you die. In other countries people are worried about where their next meal will come from not when is their next botox apt.. Be beautiful inside.
