  • I had never seen a ghost but I had an experience I will never forget. while at my grandfathers house when I was around 10 years old. I was walking down the hallway from the bedroom to the living room and felt a hard slap across my face which left a hand print welt. It hurt really bad. My grandpa and grandma both heard me scream and came running. asked what happened and I told them that my something hit me. my grandpa searched the house and found no one and I told him I was alone. It only happened once but I will never forget it.
  • i live in a two story condo. i was downstairs and i watched a trail of black smoke descend the stairs and it came toward me and made a circle around me and then it was just gone. i wasnt scared. it seemed like a friendly experience.
  • I don't have any overly strange stories at all. Some strange, yeah, but not overly. The fascination is really a form of hope: If ghosts exist, then there's something else past the curtain call. If I could see a ghost - a real ghost, with no other possible explanation - I'd sleep easier at night.
  • Humans need to believe that there is something greater than ourselves. Some feel the need to see this as something that we can become (regardless if we want to or not). I am one of these people myself.
  • I dont think you can use science and logic to explain many unexplainable things in life. Ghosts are the same. Half of the time they are restless souls who has not yet given up the desire to leave things as they once were and go where they have to.Their attachment to things, places and people can cause that. This is my understanding of it. I believe in ghosts. I have never seen one but have heard the doors being opened in the dead of the summer when the college was shut and no one else was in the building apart from me and the security guy downstairs. The building is 181 years old and used to be a nunnery. There is a story about the mother superior being attached to this place and haunting over the years. some teachers and security guys who works till late in the winter have seen things and I do believe she exists. I dont know how its confirmed in my mind but I just know it is the case.
  • This may not be a "ghost story"but it is something going on in my house being caused by a supernatural force. Whenever someone i now dies or is about to die i get a strong smell of rotting flesh in my room. It has happened a few times and we cannot find where thesmell comes from and it doesnt leave my room. Nothing i use will cover it up. Recentlyit happened when my dog was put to sleep. a week before the smell suddenly appared when i was asleep, and with the smell comes black flies that only are in my room and dont leave it. Oncmy dog was put to sleep that night the smell and flies vanished. Thishas happened more than once. And yes i do belive that there are spirits trapped on this earth and some by choice. i also believe that they hav the ability to manafest themselvs and in cases possess people.
  • After my parents divorced, when I wasn't even a year old, my mom and I moved into a house or apartment (I don't know. I was a baby). One night, my mom went and put me in my cradle. She turned on the baby monitor and left the room. Later that same night, while we were fast asleep, something woke my mom up. There was a voice going through the baby monitor, but it wasn't me speaking. My mom jumped out of bed and ran into my room. There was nobody there. She went back to bed but 10 minutes later, the voice was back. This time, it had a little anger in its voice. My mom stayed with me the rest of the night without any other disturbances. (The only reason I know this story is because I asked my mom if she believed in ghosts or had a paranormal experience. She told me the story).
  • I have another one. We had a dog at my dad's house named Coda. I swear she was the greatest and nicest dog in the world. I loved that dog. Anyway.... she always used to the rest of the milk in my cereal bowl. After she passed on, when I finish a bowl of cereal, the seat next to me would get a sudden chillness in the air. I usually sense a prescence right next to me. On occasion, I can hear her panting. I don't find it scary, though. She was a sweet dog and it is nice to know she is still around (even if she is on the other side).
