<slightly off topic> I heard once that the name Jolly Roger has something to do with the word 'rouge' or red. Perhaps something to do with blood? But that does not explain the Jolly part... Perhaps he is Jolly because he IS a pile of bones, no responsibilities. Just loaf around all day. And he is always traveling to new and different places. :)
