No. See http://www.lafayettemason123.org/freemasonry/index.html and History Channel's "Decoding the Past" shows about Freemasonry. Here are the two History Channel shows (about 40 minutes each) Part 1 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8535789150894959894 and Part 2 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1836483377108563321 .

In a word yes. But actually much much more, they hold a cross section of beliefs from all over the world, occult pagan beliefs are at the root of the organization. Read about Sir Francis Bacon, Albert Pike, Manly P. Hall and you will get your eyes opened. I see you have the "All seeing eye" or as some refer to it the "Eye of Horus" as your avatar. Are you into the occult?

No.

No, that's an oxymoron - most Freemasons are Christian...up until recently, it was actually a requirement in most places; nowadays, you just have to believe in 1 supreme god, if I'm not mistaken. That is, unless you consider Christianity a pagan religion, which is a whole 'nother question.

Freemasonry IS NOT A RELIGION. Freemasonry asks of all members that we seek our own religious choices, our own beliefs, as long as we believe in a Supreme being. Freemasonry is not a substitute for religion. To the Freemason who truly understands the purpose of our order, religion is a personal choice, and merely a part of a person's moral development. The religion chosen is up to the individual member; the Lodge just asks that a guy has some belief, whatever it may be.
