  • That they eat. And that they use impliments to do so (usually metal). People can eat however they like, there is no right of wrong way...
  • I think if they can somehow manage to feed themselves sufficiently, I have no cause to correct them. :o)
  • It don't bother me as long as their not smacking their mouth when they eat or have food hanging out their mouth or nose I can handle over looking the rest.
  • I'm one of those people. Ah, my dad used to spend hours trying to teach me 'proper table manners'. Eeeesh. Never rubbed off. But my god, you should see how I hold a pencil. That's a laugh.
  • As you owned up..this is a regional eating method, typically upheld in Europe. It would be generally acceptable to hold the fork in your right hand in most American dining situations. Only if you were at a formal dinner that was being held FOR some sort of European guests, might you wish to uphold THEIR NORMAL eating behaviors.
  • It doesn't really bother me in the house if someone uses their fork in their right hand and doesn't use a knife, and this is what I do more often or not. However, if we are dining with friends or in a restaurant I expect some degree of etiquette and to use both tools as well as keeping elbows firmly off the table!
