I bought my wife a border collie puppy for her birthday, several years ago. his name is Mikey. Mikey was raised as an "inside dog". he watched my wife and i constantly and began to imitate our actions. mikey is very intelligent. One day, we let him go outside. he escaped our fenced back yard and was gone for a while. We then had a phone call from a neighor, who stated. "mikey just walked through my yard carrying a whole chicken in his mouth. he has stolen someone's chicken off the grill". yes, he did it along with other little incidents. Mikey has brought us a knife, a fork, a spoon, a pair of someones sneakers and a rug to lay on. Mikey thinks he should have everything a human has. Mikey is amazing. It must be true, that border collies are the most intelligent dog on the planet.

Ugh! My dogs are forever bringing home decaying animals parts. But the strangest one of all was the one my 4 year old wrangled one of them to the floor to get. Turns out, it was another dog's ear. Somewhere out there is a lopsided dog who can't hear well.

Well, it wasn't "weird". When my beagle was very young, he brought me a rabbit he had "nailed" in the garden. I praised him for it. That is one of the reasons I let him roam in the back yard and garden,..to defend it. Now we have no rabbit problem. They do not come visiting. Oh, I skinned the rabbit, cooked it, and let him eat it.
