  • I had never heard the word "Bodega", so I had to look it up ... a Latin American word for a convenience store ... here in Montreal, we call them "depanneur" ... and I do NOT shop at convenience stores.
  • After reading Takei-shihan's answer I will say rarely more than a diet coke :)

  • We don't have bodegas here. Just your basic 7-11 and Hess stores. Cigarettes and beers. Coffee and beef jerky. Milk and Sun Chips.
  • It's a corner store. A quickie mart. If you don't want to run to the market you go there. You might pay a tad bit more. But you can buy bread, milk, candy some of them have a small cooked food section, sandwich and stuff. It's real convenient.
  • Some good lean coarse ground meat for chili and a 24 oz. mickeys malt!
  • Is "bodega" a liquor store? I think we've been to one with my son when he was here visiting a friend in Carlsbad..a huge store with zillions of kinds of beer and other "spirits"..it was awesome! :)
