Frequently. And i'm not even american. Americans seem to view everything to do with nudity and sexuality as taboo, meanwhile the stuff that people do behind doors makes the stuff that is being censored look like kittens playing in a field by comparison. A nipple is not the end of the world. Sex is natural, as is nudity. when you take your clothes off, or your partners, do you close your eyes? do you wear large pieces of black cardboard with "CENSORED" written on it in place of clothes? I can understand not wanting to expose children to hardcore pornographic imagery, but that's different than seeing a nipple on tv. Hell, kids have nipples and they see them daily.

I think that is part of our charm, kdp..I personally was offended. I thought it was very tacky. Remember, this was the Superbowl..many children watching. Nudity is no big deal if it is being viewed by adults only..but it was disrespectful to the families that were watching. So people abroad are far more sophisticated than we are..so what? So they think we are children in these matters? So what? I don't care what they think about something like this..I care what the moms and dads thought when their kids saw this ridiculous "accident"..right..accident my A**! No excuse. It was tacky tacky tacky! :(

Well, I have to be honest. I live in Italy (I hate to have to repeat this so often, really, but people who read my answers and don't know me wouldn't understand otherwise) and the Italians kept asking me what the big deal was. They do view this puritan attitude towards nudity with amusement. I really don't see what the big deal was either. Nudity is nothing to children unless adults make a big deal out of it. It's not like they saw a porn act or something. It was just a naked breast, the first thing a child sees in his life. "Clothing malfunctions" (LOL!) will happen. If it wasn't an accident, as many believe, I agree it was tacky, but still harmless in my modest opinion.

It doesn't embarrass me ~ just makes me laugh. Seems like Americans, in general, have this whole "OMG it's a crisis" thing happening over any little thing the movie stars do or don't do. Like seriously, do people really care about that shit??

Seems as if? We do look at you that way.

No. It doesn't surprise me at all. I didn't even know about the Janet Jackson-Super Bowl incident until now, and it still doesn't surprise me. What happened anyway?

WHY YES! It's always about who where's what...like on the show THE INSIDER...altho it is successful and enetrtainin...but they repeat (THE QUESTION EVERYBODY IS ASKING, WHO WAS JESICA SIMPSON WEARING!)...I'd go "WTF! WHO CARES ABOUT THAT" and the time when brittney shaved her head...they made a very big deal out of it! IT WASNT WORTH IT!:@ that's all!:p

Just made me think the US was making a big deal out of a little deal to create a smoke screen to hide some big deal that they were making a tiny deal out of, like bombing Afghanistan.

It seemed to be a planned "accident" to me.I don't get embarrassed over other people's actions and it doesn't matter to me what another country thinks.I do know that we're the first to get asked and the first to deliver when disaster strikes other countries,so I'm quite alright with our "image".
