    Who can know for sure? I am sure there are things under the water never seen before. I read all the time where they find creatures never before documented as being seen all the time. Note only a closed minded person would assume they know everything and to say something does not exist is saying they know everything, which is impossible.

    How are we so sure they don't exist?A mermaid in the image of an attractive woman that is half fish is a legend,but a mermaid in the proper scientific sense could certainly exist and probably does exist.
