Experiement with more or less oats in the same water/milk. Oh, and remember, oatmeal is best eaten with a fork.

Try putting fruit in it. It may "cover up" the consistency a bit..and it's deelish!

I used to crumble up graham crackers and put those in there when I was a kid. I don't eat oatmeal much anymore

I don't like it cooked a lot. It gets slimey! So I cook it till JUST done, add butter, brown sugar and milk, butter some toast and enjoy every bite!

I like to add stuff to it. Like milk, honey, sugar, raisins, syrup, even fruit. It helps. Then eat it fast because it's so good for you!

Bake it in a cookie or on a fruit crumble.

Make it into breads, cookies, muffins, pancakes. Add it to meatloaf or make granola and toast it.

Do you like "congee" Kitt-tastrophy? It's a little like oatmeal, but it's a rice gruel that my family and I eat all the time. It's much more smoother and thinner than oatmeal, and you can add all sorts of things in it, like meat, thousand year-old egg, sliced raw ginger, soy sauce, etc. Hi Kitt-tastrophy! How are things going? Hope you and your hubby are well. Guess what? The temperature up here in Edmonton reached a balmy 65 degrees today, and the sun was shining strong! Woo-hoo.
