I personally like Dylan's version better, both for vocals and mood. Dylan's version isn't as upbeat as Hendrix's, which seems to fit the song better. Just my opinion though.

I prefer Jimi's because of the celestially inspired guitar playing that he did on his cover. I also slightly prefer his vocal to Dylan's. I heard or read that when Hendrix heard Dylan sing it encouraged him to pursue his own musical dreams because he felt that Dylan's achievements in that realm meant that one didn't have to be a great singer to do so.
