Yes, it can, BUT, to be on the safe side, get to an emergency room asap. You don't want to be having a heart attack.
Then, when you are cleared, go to my site,
www.webpastor.com/panic.htm and have a look at the method I was taught to combat panic attacks. It works.

Yes, these symptoms can be certainly be caused by anxiety. Here's a list of symptoms -

Aside from various relaxation and guided meditation techniques you can use to train your brain not to produce thoughts which produce anxiety, there are also natural calmatives such as Chamomile tea which you might try, to assist with reducing symptoms of anxiety. (Chamomile tea is available in health food stores and most grocery stores, as well).

Another herb which has been found effective for anxiety is Kava, which you can buy in tincture form at many health food stores.

There's also an herbal and amino acid formula that looks like it should be quite effective you might be interested in checking out, called Panicyl -

How long have you been experiencing these symptoms? You should call and ambulance, this sounds very frightening.

You should definitely go get checked right away. It could be so many different things causing it including what you mentioned. I had a similar experience a few months ago and was shocked to learn what was causing it. Many, many illnesses can be treated if diagnosed early enough. (i'm fine now). Please don't put it off.
