Find someone you like at work to talk to everyday, because friends at work really make work go a lot faster.

The job that I have is not the best in the world and sometimes I struggle going in. I know that I have to work and there isnt a lot to choose from at present so when I go in I go with a positive attitude. I say to myself that this is going to be a good night regardless. I also make conversation with my co workers and we cut up a lot which makes it a bit more bearable. Until I can go back to school in January I will do this. Good luck to you (and me) :)

I have this feeling sometimes too, and I know others that also feel that way. It's a tough spot to be in. First off, try not to let it show, because a bad reference letter from your boss won't help your future chances. When you're not at work, try not to worry about it. Work your full required hours, and work hard during that time without wasting time or extended lunch breaks, and then you don't have to feel guilty when you're having fun. Just put it out of your mind, and do all the things you like to do on weekends, guilt-free. Then when you get to work, it's time to worry about it. Maybe you should try leaving a To-Do list on your desk every evening when you go home, with a list of concerns and tasks left undone that you will need to start thinking of again when you arrive the next day. Then when you leave, you don't have to remember those things, because it's all written down.

Find SOMETHING about the job that you enjoy. Focus on that task, person, event as much as possible. Get your resume updated and start actively sending it out. Go out on job interviews; always very educational. Sometimes you find that things may not be as bad/hopeless as you thought. Take some classes that will make you a more marketable employee.
