Cats do not tolerate Benadryl well at all. They probably have a condition called chronic rhinitis which was probably caused by an earlier viral infection. Unfortunately there is not much you can do for this. The best thing you can do is to keep their noses clean and gently wash off any crust to prevent secondary infections. It can help giving them antibiotics when it is severe to treat any bacterial infections that might occur, especially if the discharge gets thick and green. There is a new surgery for this that entails putting microscopic tubes in their nostrils and flushing those with saline to keep out the drainage, but not that many vets do the surgery. There is a cat vet in Norman OK that pioneered the technique, and it is expensive. Your cats can live a good long life with this condition, but you just have to deal with the nuisance of it and work to prevent secondary infections. Sorry that there's not more I can help you with this.
