  • My dog definitely has her own mind. She knows exactly what I want her to do, but she just goes right ahead and does her own thing. That is unless there is some people food involved, then she's likely to recite the Pledge of Allegiance for you. LOL
  • Yes, Chloe is a sweetheart, she is hilarious though with some of her looks.
  • Here are their pix: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2445803 #1) Hahahaha... I can get them to listen sometimes, if I yell at them, but if someone comes to the door, I'm SOL!... One or two may move away, but at least one barks LOUDLY, and the other two do everything they can to get around to me smell the new person. I can also get them to come to me one at a time, wait until I am ready for them to jump on me to say HELLO if I've been gone a while, and they will sit for me to hook them up to take them out (one at a time). For my wife, they are crazy... Jumping on her, no matter what she says or does, barking, etc. #2) This is the closest... As you can see above. They also have this problem of absolutely LOVING my wife, to the point that when I yell, (the ONLY thing they tend to listen to), even at the cat to leave them alone, or at one by name, they ALL crowd around her for protection, even if both she and I am trying to get them away from her. #3) The big dogs don't, but the little one (the little punk) will GROWL at me if I get too close to my wife. He sleeps between us, and if she moves him to her other side to cuddle, he growls at my hand on that side, unless I'm petting HIM. AND, he sleeps above her on the back of the couch, or in front of her (sometimes ON her) when she's watching TV. If I, the other dogs, or the cat, get too close, he GROWLS... He DOES grumble a lot, which is fine with me, but when he gets nasty, I try Cesar Milan's(sp? - The Dog Whisperer) "claw" hold on his neck until he shuts up. My wife wants me to let him go too soon, of course. When he goes back to a grumble, I do let go, and he usually wants me to pet him, then. AND, if my wife leaves for any reason when she wouldn't normally, he WHIMPERS all the time she's gone, barks at every noise that COULD be her, and in general, make life a living hell! LOL (Oh... And no matter how many times I tell him that my wife is MY b-tch, he won't listen! ;-) ) So... A bit of all three. ;-)
  • I haven't had a dog in years, but he was a well behaved, obedient dog. My cat obeys commands, though. She's pretty darned smart.
  • She's pretty obedient, not the most obedient dog I've ever had as I just haven't taken the time like with the others. But she listens pretty well even though she's not very bright. I've never had a 'doofus' newfy but this time I got one.
  • My adult dog is good 75% of the time. The puppy is still at the age where I'm convinced he's a demon.
  • My dog Angie will come over if you tap your foot on the floor. She comes over with her nose to the ground sniffing out food (personal cleaner). If you ask her if she wants to go in the car or on a walk, she doesn't always want to go. If you say her name, she'll look up at you and turn over. The only time she ever listens is during a thunderstorm, she follows me around trembling in her skin.
  • I did have a cat who would listen very well to everything I said, he was soo smart. He knew how to try and open doors, he would wink at me to let me know something or what he wanted. He did not like a closed door, he would push it open if it was cracked open just a bit, or if it was shut completly he would hit the knob or smack the door for me to open it. A friend of mine tried to hide from me one day, but he looked at me with a sweet little wink and showed me where my friend was. I lived with my parents, he loved them as well, but I was the main one he let hold him, play with, do anything to. I love him soo much. He was my baby =] 6 months ago, he became ill. He would not eat, drink water, or even sleep much. He got cancer. We took him to the vet. They took blood tests and things were good, they kept him over nigt just to be sure, and because he was dehydrated. Next day they called to say he had gotten worse. That day we went to the vet. to decide what to do, but decided not to, because they did not bury them afterwards(they just put them in a landfill), so we took him, but on our way home he passed on in my arms. That upset me so badly, I thought it was my fault. He is now layed to rest in a good place. This is him, holding on to my leg(he was always near me) I also have a dog, she is 7 years old. She's a good girl, listens as well. I have her to where she will mind, sort of the same way with her as my cat. But no one will Ever be like him. Here they are =] His name was Simba, her name is Cloe
