Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but they check when you say the paint is wet?

I wouldn't believe you. There are WAY more than four billion.

1) there are much more stars: "Stars are not spread uniformly across the universe, but are normally grouped into galaxies along with interstellar gas and dust. For me, in this moment, it would not necessarily be relevant if there were 100 times more or 100 times less stars. 3) And if you tell me personally that the paint is wet, I could also just trust you, if I have some reasos to do so.
