  • Taylor moved back to England in the mid 1990s. He never seemed to feel comfortable in his role as a former Rolling Stone until he released a new record in the year 2000, the CD A Stone's Throw. Playing at clubs and theatres as well as appearing at festivals has connected Taylor with an appreciative audience and lasting fanbase. In 2003, Taylor reunited with John Mayall for his 70th Birthday Concert in Liverpool along with Eric Clapton. A year later, in autumn 2004, he also joined the Bluesbreakers for a UK theatre tour. In October 2007 he toured the US East Coast with the Experience Hendrix group. The Experience Hendrix group appeared at a series of concerts which were set up to honour Jimi Hendrix' musical legacy and Taylor played with Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin and Robby Krieger. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mick_Taylor http://micktaylor.free.fr/
  • Mick Taylor, the one the only, Mick Taylor was to be the replacement of Brian Jones. Mick Taylor came in to the Rolling stones camp in the summer of 1969 where he did some work on the Let it bleed record, and was soon to be the stones new guitarist at a benefit to Brian Jones. Mick Taylor in my opinion was to be a breath of fresh air to the rest of the band. Mick Taylor would bring with him the raw rough edge that has been incapsulated in recordings up to his last being Its only rock N roll. To listen to Cant't you hear me Knocking that machine frying intro it is timeless Taylor all the way. To her sway like who could do such fine work its like beauty and the amp, I'm seious its like grabbing a wild animal and taming it, tame and all ways free. Its hard to say for that is all the music was. And at that time he was the right man and he left for he was young and he was the most promising guitarist at that time. and he wanted to do his own thing out side of the control of the Jagger Richards records, and it was very much like Izzy stradilin leaving Guns and rosses, some people have to go out and find themselves and Mick Taylor he played again with the stones, he and ronny were on stage together and later Ronny said that Mick Taylor would drown out his guitar and take long deliberate solo's what ronny didn't undestand was Mick Taylor wanted a Guitar fight. No but you know how egos are, And the last I heard Mick Taylor was still doing his thing with his band, never short on class, to this day I like mick Taylor's guitarmanship just listen to his work on all of the stones albums from 69-74 and that is mick all is good, but in retrospect I think mick T should have stayed, but ronny he was not a stone for his first 17 years with the band he was a hired hand, he only became a stone like in 93-94 and that is a fact. Rolling stones is a very very exclusive club
