Although it is not as common in men, it is possible for men to get breast cancer. Even if it is not cancer, it could be a cyst, which can be a sign of something wrong. I have one in my back that hurts when I apply pressure, and it is also about pea-sized. The main thing is to see if it grows in size. If it gets bigger, then it may be a tumour, whereas cysts will often shrink and sometimes even disappear on their own. If you are worried though, you should definitely get it checked out. Better safe than sorry.

It's possible, but HIGHLY unlikely. Most likely it's just a cyst. But, Yes, get it checked out quickly.

In men, breast cancer is very rare. The important thing is that most of the information men with breast cancer need is the same as for women. The symptoms, diagnosis and treatment are all very similar to women with breast cancer. The commonest symptom for men with breast cancer is a lump in the breast area. This is nearly always painless. Other symptoms can include Oozing from the nipple (a discharge) that may be blood stained Swelling of the breast A sore (ulcer) in the skin of the breast A nipple that is pulled into the breast (called nipple retraction) Lumps under the arm Of course it is difficult for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer. But it can be particularly difficult for men, as you may feel very confused and isolated. It is so common to hear about breast cancer in women. But not at all common to hear about it in men. So it can be difficult even to believe that the diagnosis is right. As male breast cancer is rare, men are often treated in large, specialist centres where there is expertise in dealing with the disease. So your consultant may know other men with breast cancer that you could talk to about it. Or you could contact the charity Breast Cancer Care. They have male volunteers you can talk to on the phone. Or you could try one of the web-based contact networks, such as MyWavelength. This is a free support network where you can get in touch with other people with the same type of cancer.

It's rare, but it does happen. Don't worry about it, as long as you're getting it checked. IF and WHEN it's diagnosed as such, THEN worry a bit, but don't obsess over it.

Breast cancer DOES happen in men, you can get cancer anywhere, it may just be randomly in the breast. If the tumor is hard, and redish, then it sounds cancerous.

interesting... i think that what you see is a sign what will you do when the doctor tells you that it is. how much will you pay to prevent what "will happen" I hope you are ok
