It was when I was working in a bar in Spain... I was the only one who had a vague knowledge of Spanish, French and German but I was fired after working till past midnight (on a 17.00-23.00 shift) because the manager had already interviewed the owner's friend's daughter (or something)for my job that day! I think I was basically sacked because I wasn't Spanish/didn't wear tight enough tops/didn't smile enough... Ah well, I graduated and got a better job and she was sacked from that bar for bing a hopeless manager!!

I was just recently fired and here the story. I am a security guard at a goodyear plant in Alabama. my job is to guard the construction gate (they are adding on to the factory) about 2 weeks ago someone came onto the compound while the 3rd shift girl was there and stole a bunch of tools. so naturally goodyear gave us a bunch of new rules. one of the rules was that any supplier or visitor that came to the gate had to escorted onto the compound by an employee of the company that they were there for. so on the first day of enforceing these new rules I called the supervisor of one company and told him someone needed to come escort a supplier onto the compound, and he goes crazy saying "what the hell? is this some new rule?" I said "yes sir" "this is bull-shit!!!" so he sends his wife down who also happens to be the company secritary. and she goes even more ape shit. the whole time I just appoligize and explain that I was just doing my job. But she goes to MY supervisor and tells him that she doesn't want me to guard the gate anymore. and since they were the client she got her wish. so here I am unemployed just for doing my job.

Not speaking Spanish. I was working as a Medical Records file clerk through the temp agency the hospital would have hired me on full time but since I did't know spanish they let me go and hired someone who know spanish, I am NOT mexican. I am german/irish.

I was fired for theft by a manager who was later caught embezzling half a million bucks from the company. I didn't steal a dime. I was also fired in advertising because my dad had quit two weeks prior so they kept me until he took his new job out of town. Finally..I got married on a holiday weekend and decided a months notice was sufficient. Hated all 3 anyway.

I turned my boss' wife into to Child Welfare for leaving her 13 year old foster daughter in charge of three children between the ages of 2-9. The girl nearly burnt the house down cooking dinner and called me to come to her house and help her. I called her social worker the next day and reported the incident.

ive never lost a job for an unfair reason. BUT, i was at work one day, we had a new girl start. the owner walked by and had a fit about how fat she was and told the manager to get rid of her.

A co-worker of mine had let it slip to a few people that I was moving away about a month from them and I decided to not put my notice in til the 2 week range. My boss HATED me and would always talk hella crap about me openly to people in front of me. Well somehow word got to her and she fired me the next day for being "disrespectful to customers" when I knew every customer I'd ever waited on loved me and tipped so generously. I knew she'd only done it so she didn't have to pay my remaining time.

i needed three days off to care for my nephews while my brother in law had radiation treatment and my sister tended to her brand new business. my boss fired me for taking that time off, even though i made up for the two shifts that other people covered for me by working a double on my day off!

I've never been fired or lost a job but I have not gotten a job because my boyfriend was working at the place I was trying to get a job. They didn't want to hire family or people that were in a relationship.

My boss got mad because I needed to borrow $300 from the cash register to pay my rent. I was going to pay it pack when I got my check. He was such a jerk. That was so unfair.
