I'd earn the money, no contest. I suck at all sports, and sports wouldn't be in any way fun.

Work, definitely. The $100 would put almost 2 tanks of gas in my car (at today's price per gallon, anyway), so I could definitely use the money.

I would work instead of playing sports, but I would make over $200 for those 3 hours.
