  • It used to be easier than it is now.
  • There are crazy professional thieves that can hot wire a car or pick a lock very quickly. For most thieves I doubt it's easy.
  • There is about 20 wires going to the ignition switch, and every model and make have different color codes. And even if you did figure it out, there is a mechanical jam that locks the steering, the only way the lock comes out of the column is to be unlocked. They can do anything on TV, it's rediculous, even an auto mechanic couldn't do it.
  • It's not as easy as shown in the movies but it can be done just as fast yo...
  • With a tractor just whack a screwdriver in the ignition and turn it
  • haha umm beany, i dont think he wants a tractor but no, i dont think its that easy [unless you want a tractor]
  • They make everything look easy in the movies.
  • most people who steal cars will look for one that is unlocked and most likely has the keys in it. some will look around parking garages and look for someones car who is stupid enough to leave the keys on the tires (because apparently there are people with this retardation of leaving their keys on their tires instead of putting them in their pocket or something)
  • They do make it look easy, since it is entertainment. I mean, how interested would you be watching a person sit there for about three minutes dealing with wires? The scene would last way too long, so they shorten it a bit. lol. ~+~
  • It CAN be just that easy... I've seen enough cop shows, showing how easy it is to believe it. (It DOES take someone who used to do it.)
