I knocked out my front teeth and went to the EMERGENCY room, and had to wait for over an hour before i even went back and then they asked me a million dumb questions =

Well my grandpa was in the hospital after having a small heart attack and they kept moving him from room to room so I could never find him. Also he had this one room mate who would sit up in bed and you could see half his butt coming out of his gown and it was kind of hard to miss!

I nearly died of Pneumonia when I was younger. I was under the oxygen tent in the hospital.

I haven't had to go to the hospital much. My worst experience was probably using the public washroom in the emergency ward. Gross, you never know what you might catch.

I had stomach surgery and had about 24 stitches. The 3rd day after surgery the bandage started leaking lots of puss. The MD removed 75% of the stitches and opened the incision. He left the wound to heal from the bottom up. I was in the hospital for 9 days and had daily nursing visits for about 3 weeks after discharge. That was over a year ago and my scar tissue is oblong and about 1 1/2 inches wide and two inches long. Where the stitches were left, the scar is a normal scar that is getting lighter.

I had to have a c-section and they could not get the meds working. The spinal wore off and I felt a whole lot of pain, worst pain ever. That was the worst experience evr for me, oh and the next day after all that I had asked for meds, the nurse told me "you don't need meds, none of the other women need meds" I hated that nurse. Then they broke the catheter while it was in. It was a pretty bad few days for me.

as a patient I have been treated with care and respect. As a employee, the sheriff deputy that had lost his left side to a couple of close range shot gun blasts was one of the worst days.

I was cutting a piece of cheese one night and when i was done, i tried to push the cheese back into the wrapper. This time it wouldn't go back in, so i turned the knife sideways against the cheese and held the wrapper with my hand while pushing on the knife with the other hand. The wrapper ripped, the knife came down and cut my wrist. It went all the way through, i could see my tendon move. When i went to the hospital, i got the 20 questions and a lot of looks. They had me for a suicidal person. The doctor asked me if i wanted to talk to someone, also wanted to know what brand of cheese it was. After it was all stitched up and i was on my way out, i still didn't convince anyone that i didn't try to kill myself, they thought my story was cheezy.

Anything is fine, what's worse is waiting for hours on end while you're sick, or in pain.

I work in hospitals..the stories would be endless..but heres one that's funny! I was doing morning rounds(morning rounds start at 5am)and walked into a 98 year old dementia patients room. I woke her up and told her that I needed to take a blood specimen. She sat up so i went ahead and started the process..as soon as I put the needle in she punched me in the side of the head! Hard! Not the best way to start a long day of work...

I've had two. The first one was when a big beetle decided my ear would be a nice place to hang out at 2 in the morning. It hurt so bad I wasnt crying but I was tearing up from the pain when it moved around and if i yawned (I learned so well that your eardrum moves when you yawn and move your mouth that night). So I went to the ER which went fairly quick and they put water in my ear to drownd it so it wouldnt move any more then got an unnecessarily large needle (seemed a foot long at the time) filled it with water and blasted it into my ear really hard to try to blast the bug out but it wouldnt come out so i had to wait until 8 when the ear specialist place opened so they could use the proper tools to pull it out. I almost jumped up and hugged the doctor that pulled it out i was so happy. the second one wasnt really bad for me but it disgusted me. I went to the er to get an xray for a possible broken hand/finger area thing and there was a probably 4 year old kid there too. he was bleeding from his head yet they called me in first I was so mad like omg my bones can wait hes gonna bleed to death omg whats wrong with you? but i was only like 12 so i didnt say anything i really wish i had looking back on it now though
