  • Leave them both alone and let nature take it's course. Edit: Perhaps the person who rated this not useful would care to explain his views. Any man who thinks he has the right to interfere with the natural act of an animal eating a plant (endangered or not) is a complete fucking idiot.

  • Shoo the animal away long enough to take a cutting of the plant, so that the plant can be propagated. Yeah, yeah, I know it's a boring answer. You asked, I answered, don't whine about it.
  • The plant is as important to help conserve biodiversity as the animal in this case. A zoologist should interfere in this specific situation and separate both of them. The endangered animal should be bred and fed under ideal conditions in a zoological garden and a botanical garden would be safe place for the plant.
