Winning a huge lottery !! :)
If it's causing you physical effects of a negative nature, usually brought on by emotional or psychological effects of a bad nature. That alone would be good enough for me, but I guess they won't put circulation lights on a dangerous crossroad until three or four little kids get run over. :/
You have found a job that pays you more and has better benefits.
Being totally burnt and stressed out because of it. Being at odds with what you do for a living and burnt out is a pretty convincing combination.
It's making you suicidal.
The day you realize that you're working only to work and it's doing nothing for you financially, I say that's one heck of a reason!
Oh no...time to quit my job! lol I'm making enough to put gas in my car to get to and from work...pretty pointless!
The job turns out to be supporting illegal and criminal activity.
Finding another one, that you're happy with, making more money.
You should always have it in the back of your mind to stay aware of job opportunities that would improve your day-to-day situation.
- new company comes to town that pays better
- job closer to home to reduce your commute cost
- a line of work with more opportunity to move up
- the chance to get more specialized education
- better working conditions
What may be "the best reason" will not always be the same.
In these times (and others, really)?
You have a better-paying job (or it pays comparably and has better benefits) completely signed, sealed, and ready for you to go to.
currently, i have no reason to quit my job. i absolutely love it.
but if i were to become bored, and have no way to change things up, or if the people i worked with became unbearable, then that would be my best reason to quit.
Depends on what you want in life.
I will quit my job in the future, when I'm ready to move to Iceland, or any other country I want to set foot in.
Company and personal values have changed - you're no longer irreplaceable. If you leave, someone new will start.
Of course there should always be some loyalty, you should have respect for the company and be thankful for the opportunities you've been given.
I don't respect people that job-hop because they "feel" like it, are picky, demand things that are out of their jurisdiction and simply don't want to fit in.
death. i think it is an acceptable reason.
You win the lottery.
Having a better one to go to is the best reason, in my experience. Doesn't always work out like that - sometimes I've moved sidewards or took a step down if I've needed experience in a different field to move on in the long term.
you get in trouble for following the rules.
You won the Lotto and will never need to work again! :)
When your co-workers decide (depending on their mood) that they either make too much, or too little to finish their own work.
You've been lucky enough to receive a better offer with more pay doing something that would suit you better than your current position.
Because you hate it and the boss and everything about it. Life is to short. Find another one.
There are several. If you find the company is unethical, abuses or discriminates against employees or clientele, has corrupt or incompetent management, those are reasons to quit. If you find you dread going to work or dislike your duties, that's a reason to quite. If you find something else that suits you better or is financially more satisfying, that's a reason to quit. If you are ready to retire, that's a reason to quit. If you are just plain miserable, that's a reason to quit.
You got a better job lined up.
The dog on your postal route keeps telling you to do things. Cut it out sam.............
Bad boss or better opportunity
When you work more than you play and you see it effect the things that are most important to you.
You have found a better job, or at least one that makes you happier =)
Everyone hates me and treats me like im no one.
If your boss rapes you
There are so many but, rightnow I need money so,Holy heavens no quitting.
first if the income isn't that sufficient for your needs, second if the company or organization isn't that good and third for travel reasons that the company is far from your house
If it doesn't give you growth and professional development (even fulfillment), you need to quit your job.
