your piercer should of told you how long... you should look it up. theres tons of piercing sites.

you should go back to your piercer and find out, if they are good they will do it for you, usually about 2 weeks, hope this helps

OK, you need to have that big ugly long thing in your tongue until the swelling goes down, namely a few weeks or months. No kissing, no weird food. Stop being so itchy. You can change it later. Keep messing with it and it'll go septic. Did you think, that poking a sharp shank into your tongue would be nothing and the tongue would heal in a week? You have instructions that the piercer gave you Read tehm and follow them. And if you use listerine, water it down becaseu some opeople are very sensitive.

At least two weeks. If the swelling has gone down and has stayed down you should be ok to change it. However if it is still swelling once in a while I would keep the long one in until it has stopped. I actually have kept that one in because I have a fat tongue anyways so if I go drinking or get dehydrated my tongue swells a little and with a small barbell in it starts to hurt. I'm not saying you will have to do this, it's just my personal preference. Good Luck!

i would wait at least 6 weeks... you want to make sure that it is completely healed before you change it. just be patient you have the rest of your life to change it
