My parents did. I don't really remember, though - seeing as it all happened before age 3. I suppose that since I don't remember, I have no proof it was my parents. I just always took them for their word. It could have been aliens, for all I know.

My grandmother taught me the start, she use to read the bible to me when I was younger. After that I never got interested until I was about 8, when I started reading Harry Potter. After that I taught myself how to speed read (comes naturally really).

My mom and dad by reading me stories and helping me with the words. I knew how to read very well in kindergarten but they didn't want to do that there. By the time I entered first grade I was a VERY good reader and when the teacher passed out our first reader and asked us what we knew, I just read each lone and she had to force me to stop. That was back in 1959 or 1960.
