This is a distressing email. This must be stopped at all costs. Please do sign. THIS WILL TAKE A MINUTE OF YOUR TIME AND WILL SAVE A CREATURE – AND HOPEFULLY REMOVE THIS SO-CALLED 'ARTIST'!!! Hi all, this is a very serious matter... In the 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, he tied him to a rope in an art gallery, starving him to death. For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died. Does it look like art to you? But this is not all ... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American decided that the 'installation' was actually art, so that Guillermo VargasHabacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008. Let's STOP HIM!!!!! Click on the following link : http://www.petitiononline.com/ea6gk/petition-sign.html or http://www.petitiononline.com/13031953/petition.html or just copy it in your browser to sign a petion to stop him to do it again, then digit the name Guillermo Vargas Habacuc to find the petition to sign. Please do it. It's free of charge and it will only take 1 minute to save the life of an innocent creature. Please also send this e-mail to as many contact as you can... Let's stop him!!! If you want to double check all the above informations you can google the name of the 'artist' to see all I have just said corresponds to truth. Thank you

OMFG I cant believe that there are ppl with such a sick & disgusting brain...I signed up and and i also sent the links to all my friends (outside AB)!!!
-
I was outraged when I first heard about that "project." That anyone could consider it art, much less like it, I find sick and disturbing. This man needs to be locked up!!
-
Not only did I sign, but I sent the link to all my friends and family as well. How dare he?????
-
Please read this link: http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/vargas.asp I think it is the latest update and gives additional information about this issue. As it seems to be undetermined, it would not hurt to sign the petition. I agree it is not art and should be prevented, but a good search of the issue shows that it may not have happened. I wish we had more definite accountability, but this is the best I could find right now.

This man is disgusting, I have already signed. Thank you for the opportunity. Best regards.
-
This is revolting, and just unbelievable. I have copied your answer and posted it on my myspace bulletin and will also forward and email. I can't believe this was allowed to happen, what the hell is wrong with people?!
-
snopes said not true-thank god
-
Don't know if it's true or not, but in case it is, signed.
-
This is an internet rumor that has not been proven or not. i am always skeptical about these things spread via email.
-
I don't care if I get DR'd for this: I think someone should make an exhibit of the so-called "artist" starving. I'm all for tying HIM up and staring at him while he suffers in misery and wastes slowly away.
-
How in the hell dose anyone call this art????? OMG I saw this and I'm proud to say I signed the petition. This to me is poor judgement in humanity!
-
Signed, it disgusts me :-(
-
Did he really do that or did he find a dead dog?
-
Here is what the snopes.com (debunking urban legends has to say about it (status undertermined): http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/vargas.asp
-
I support the artist, not the dog, besides animals do not have souls.
-
Ok. First of all, he hasn't been invited to do it again. If you read the snopes article you will see that his entry into the 2008 exhibition will be something else. Secondly, it is unclear exactly what the situation was, and there are conflicting stories. One thing that is clear is that the artist apparently exhibited the dog to bring the attention of the public to the many starving dogs in the streets, who were ignored until one of them was exhibited. Now if *I* were doing this, I would take one of the malnourished dogs, and make sure it was fed and watered and generally looked after. This is what the director of the gallery said happened, and seems to me to be the likeliest explanation. Rather than getting indignant about something that might not have happened, all those people who signing the petition would be better off, in my opinion, making a donation to their local animal charity.

Just so everyone knows This is him
-
They should hang him up in an art show for dogs! What a chump.

This is absolutley disgusting and you've done us all a great service by publicizing it. Many people in the past have considered cruelty an art form but for the most part they have been labeled crazed psychopaths and deluded tyrannical despots.
