Did you have that teacher in high school or college that even though they were a "teacher," they did not really "teach," they were just "present," and didn't care if they helped a student, or even if the students were even present?

Several. I also put 4 children through the public school system and encountered many more. That's why I am very cynical about teachers claiming to be "underpaid"

yes my math average went from 98 the year before to 55 because they just didnt teach anything :(

Hmmm I'm really searching my memory and I just cannot think of a teacher like that in my experience. Maybe such teachers were soon forgotten? Or maybe I was lucky?

I can't remember having teachers like that. Although a lot of my teachers were either extremely rude or extremely boring.
