No but it's a nice thought.

Even if you saved something odds are they would want a cut yo...

Vegas gets its power from the Hoover Dam. It is a hydro electrical plant and eliminates no carbon. Vegas is very green when it comes to power production, but not consumption.
-
I don't think they'd do it...they get so much money off the casino and no lights = no money. And...well...Earth Day doesn't matter to them. :-(
-
No
-
Not bloody likely..maybe a token 5 minutes..but I don't think of Las Vegas as being the center of ecological/green concerns! :(
-
not a chance all they care about is the amount of money they would lose they would shoot you just for suggesting it lol :0)
-
No way, they won't turn them off even if their life depended on it. Regards.
-
No way. They would lose too much money. Can't do that. Wait until they run out of water.

The lights of Vegas are relatively green, due to the fact that almost none of the electricity is produced by the burning of hydrocarbons. It is hydroelectric power from the Hoover Dam. The biggest carbon footprint left behind in Vegas is cars and people breathing up all of my air. They could almost become carbon neutral with electric trams, and planting photosynthetic plants.
-
No, but they should be required to help generate some electircity by the use of solar on their properties or working together as a group of businesses to build wind farm in the mountains or new solar towers as they are in Spain.

ummm, in a word , no !! but im not sure how turning off the lights would help reduce the carbon dioxide, its us, the cows and the cars that make most of the carbon dioxide :)
