Saltine Crackers and a cheese sandwich.

Sour Dough bread and a nice glass of white wine.

Either eat it with pilot crackers or oyster crackers or my favorite is to get small loaves of bread, like sourdough rounds and cut off the tops, pull out most of the bread and serve the chowder in the bread bowls. Toast the bowl first and put on the top. Dip the top in the soup, scoop out some of the bread from the insides. It's great:-)

Mmmmm Oyster crackers!!! Perfect. I am assuming you mean New England Clam Chowder. I guess Oyster crackers would go with Manhattan, too.

I would serve it in a bread bowl for starters. Then I would make lettuce and tomato salad with a scoop of shrimp or lobster salad in the middle.

My favorite thing to eat with a huge bowl of clam chowder is a bowl of macaroni & cheese.
