  • Well I took cosmo in school so I do know that shaving your legs causes the hair to grow back thicker, a good choice in thinning your leg hair is to wax it causing it to overtime become thinner. Another choice is to have lazor hair removal.
  • Shaving your hair does not make the actual hair any thicker. All you are doing is cutting off the tapered tip of the hair, so it looks thicker because the end is now blunt. If shaving causes a reaction on your legs that you don't want, then find another way to remove the hair. There is waxing (of course), or you could try the chemical route (called a depilitory - like Nair, etc... but those dont work for everyone) or you could try an epilator (read - a machine that yanks out the hairs!)... if you are willing to pull out the hairs, I would imagine waxing is much faster and less painful than the epilators... yuk. To mimimize problems with shaving- make sure you use a good shaving cream and a new razor. (Dull ones cause more damage to your skin.) Don't press down with the razor (or you are more likely to take off more skin) and try to avoid going over the same area more than once. Then be sure to moisturize afterward.
