I am looking into buying a new car. Right now is the best time for me to buy a brand new one with my income. I am looking at two differents cars. One is the 2008 Honda Accord or a 2009 Toyota Corolla. I am looking for good gas mil.

I would think the Corolla would get better gas mileage since it is a smaller car. The Accord is more equivalent to the Camry. Both are good cars, I would rather have an Accord over a Corolla, but Camry over an Accord. Not sure if that helps, but there you go.

I just bought the new 2008 honda accord and i love it. only drawbacks are that it doesnt drive too sporty and it will cost alot to fill a v6. it costs me 68 dollars to fill it up. also, honda accords are no longer cheap. sticker price for mines was close to 30 for a v6 ex-l.

I am on my 2nd Corolla and I love it. Had a 92 and now have a 01. I would strongly encourage you to look at a pre-owned one instead of buying new. Many dealers have rental fleets with low milage for a few thousand dollars less than the 'new' ones. My 92 was used and it was great.. my husband has a 05 Ford that he got in 06 and we saved plenty. You might even consider Yaris if you aren't looking for roomy interiors.

Either of the two described vehicles is the best choice out there. Each has a proven track record of reliability and most approved by drivers answering a survey. The only problem i see, is purchasing a new vehicle. You will lose at least 20% depreciation, once you drive it off the dealers lot. I have bought a new Toyota Solara and now understand this, myself. Why not check into a dealers demonstrater that has never been titled? it may have 10-20,000 miles on it, but the price will be substantially lower and its still in warranty. My wife owns a Honda Accord and i own my Toyota Solara. We both love each other automobile. gas mileage is about the same...31 Toyota on the road and 29 for Honda Maintenance is practically non-existant. Change the oil every 7,000 miles and good luck.

FIRST OF ALL, I THINK, THAT TWO CARS DON'T EVEN COMPETE, THE COROLLA COMPETES DIRECTLY AGAINST THE CIVIC, NOT THE ACCORD, SO LOOKING FROM THAT POINT, I PREFER THE ACCORD, EVEN THE CIVIC AGAINST THE COROLLA, ITS JUST THAT I FIND IT A LIL CRAPY =S BUT IF YOU JUST WANT MILEAGE THE COROLLA SOUNDS LIKE A BETTER OPTION ;)
