Lightscribe currently does not come in lighter colors (like white). The reason for this has to do with the technology that LS uses. When you "burn" a cover on a LS disc, what you are doing is using a high power laser to alter the reflective properties of a layer buried within the disc. Lighter colors reflect too much light to allow the laser to do this. So LS discs have to use darker colors. I'm sure they're probably working on some wasy around this... possibly a higher powered laser but it ain't here yet.

If discs recorded on a cd or dvd recorder don't have the compact disc logo on them they won't play in other players. Is this true?

I HAVE A DOLBY DVD PLAYER.CAN YOU TELL ME IF IT TAKES DISK THAT ARE PLUS,OR MINUS,SO I CAN MAKE COPIES OF MOVIES.

You're reading I'm looking for Lightscribe disks (DVD & CD) that have a white background. All I can find are multi-color packs and the darker colors don't show up the printing. Does any one make a single color, light color pack of disks. Thanks!
