  • Compressing a video down to half the original size will sacrifice quality, no matter what. The idea is to minimize the loss from compression. If you don't mind not being able to play it on all standalone players, compressing your movie into MP4/AVC (Mpeg-4 Advanced Video Coding) will keep much of the quality, far better than MPEG-2 (DVD default format). (I have not used Studio 11 and am unaware if it can output to mp4/avc, but a search for freeware tools can give you programs that can do so for free) Good luck and have fun!
