  • You risked infection which would have been worse than the blisters. Keep them clean and free of irritation until they heal. A local antiseptic cream might be a good idea. You might want to give them as much air as possible.
  • If it hurt to walk on them, you were right to pop them. Once popped however you should not remove the loose skin instead bandage the popped blisters. Use a tight but not painfully tight dressing or "second skin" like bandage. Make sure to take the bandage off gently once a day to clean the area and re-bandage. It will eventually heal all by itself and you will learn a valuable lesson about breaking-in a new pair of shoes properly. Hope this helps.
  • are you still wearing the same shoes? did you medicate the blisters? if you dont get infected and walk another 20 or 30 miles in those shoes... and after about 20 more sets of blisters, youll develop callusses and be fine.. otherwise,,, get some other shoes
  • Well I've decided to just leave the blisters alone and hope they heal. Thanks for the suggestion :)
  • If you can stand it, keeping blisters in tact is always the best way to go. It keeps germs out to have the skin covering them while they heal. Since you already popped them, just be sure to put antibacterial ointment on them and keep them carefully covered while they heal. Leaving as much skin over them as possible is still ideal, but keep them bandaged until they heal over fully. If I may also suggest NOT wearing those shoes again at least until they heal. It'll just make those toes hurt, and you CAN make blisters form under the current popped blisters, and those will be much worse and harder to heal if they form.
  • i always use a clean pin and poke and drain myself. then i put bands aids on top to keep them clean. i bet the shoes were amazing looking though.
